Size
A small ball shaped cluster with a gray green or blue skin color that turns red purple in sunny conditions. The thorns are relatively thin, about 2-5 millimeters long, and are attached and facing downwards. Growth is slow, with only one or a very small number of small balls growing each year. It has a strong adaptability to extremely arid desert habitats, completely exposed to scorching sunlight, growing between reddish purple rocks and gravel, flat or moderately stepped, and drained very dry cohesive and sandy soil.
1. Watering
It has very drought resistant characteristics and can be used once a week in spring and autumn. In the growing season of summer, it is possible to water twice a week, but it is important to drain the water in a timely manner to prevent root rot. Keep dry in winter, once every two weeks.
2. Temperature
Not cold resistant, with a temperature of no less than 5 degrees in winter.
3. Lighting
Enjoying sunlight, it is acceptable to be exposed to direct sunlight, but particularly strong sunlight in summer should be appropriately shaded.
